Ancient Egyptian Good Luck Cartouche Pendant Necklace in White Gold
A Cartouche is an ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic name plate that (often) had the name of a king scribed into it. Traditionally, the Cartouche was
written on tombs and coffins to mark who was inside. It was believed by the ancient Egyptians that each person had two souls (known as the
"Ba" and the "Ka'") which needed to find their way back to the body after death in order to move onto the afterlife. It then became popular among
the pharaohs to wear the Cartouche's as amulets because it was believed to ward off evil and to protect the name that was written inside.
This exquisite Good Luck Cartouche amulet carries 8 known good luck charm symbols. Starting at the top left corner, we have the Evil Eye, which
is known to ward off evil or bad energy. Next we have a horseshoe, the number 7, the number 13, an Elephant, an Owl, a Wishbone, and a lucky
Clover (Left to Right). A sacred design, carefully and delicately handcrafted to perfection with a solid white gold. With a detailed design around
the rims of the Cartouche, this piece was finished with a glossy high polish. And at the bottom of the Cartouche lays a solid gold bar, with the
words "Good + Luck" written on top. Combine this Ancient Egyptian Cartouche pendant necklace with your own unique style to add a bit of flare
to your everyday fashion!
